Ken Falk had made special arrangements for MESS Members to visit a private Museum of Fire Collectables. This was the, Venerable Fire Collection, Inc., in Slinger, WI.
The director and owner, Keith Franz, with the assistance of his son, was good enough to give us a personal tour of the complete collection.
The Date was Sunday, November 12, 2005 @1:00 PM. We arrived and started the tour on time. The MESS people had a host of questions:

• About the gold leaf and lettering.
• How the pull stations worked.
• When were the first box cards used?
• How did the collection start?
• And so on.

We have attached some of the photos of the Museum’s Collection from Terry Cox. There were over 40 pieces of restored actual fire apparatus, as well as old fashion Alarm systems, Helmets, Badges, Pull Stations, Joker Box stands, Fire Poles, Fire Gear, and scale model home made pieces and a lot more. The tour lasted almost three hours. We all stopped and had Brat stop brats on the way home. It was a nice and educational day. Please take a moment and view the pictures below.
